OnlineMed was formed at the start of the lockdown resulting from the onset of COVID-19 in 2020.
It became clear that traditional medical practices would not be able to cope with increased demands.
Patients were understandably hesitant to visit clinics and hospitals.
Doctors were hesitant to admit patients to hospitals and clinics with non-COVID-19 related illnesses, due to the risk that they might attract the virus.
To us, the solution seemed clear. Use technology to allow doctors to consult with and monitor patients remotely. Doing this would minimise the inherent risks, while still being able to guide and treat patients that needed their help.
Thus, OnlineMed was born, combining the skills, expertise and knowledge required to present a high technology solution to a problem that will no doubt be with us for the foreseeable future.
Quite apart from the complications that COVID-19 presents, we believe that remote patient monitoring can provide a solution to treating patients in remote areas and actively monitor patients without the need for hospital admission.
We believe that we can contribute to changing medical care as we know it, alleviating the stress of illness on patients and doctors alike, improving efficiencies and providing superb health care to all stakeholders, now and into the future.
